The winners have now been announced of two competitions held as part of COFFEE COLOGNE at domotechnica 2008. They are for the Coffee Innovations Award and Home Latte Art Contest. Eight companies went away with a prize in one of the categories in the Coffee Innovations Award. The first global Innovations Award honours outstanding coffee products for the trade and catering industry. From today until 21st February, the winning products will be exclusively and prominently displayed at COFFEE COLOGNE in Cologne. The Home Latte Art competition was able to showcase first, second and third place winners, with all three amateurs convincing the judges through the patterns they conjured up in the coffee foam. Their performances were recorded on videotape and can also be viewed starting today at domotechnica.
The winners of the Coffee Innovations Award A jury selected the best products from numerous producers in the coffee sector, nominating a total of 24 products in eight categories. Finally, the coffee community decided in an online vote which companies would be honoured with a win. They are:

The winners of the Home Latte Art Contest:
In the Home Latte Art Contest, the amateur coffee artists produced creative patterns at home in the run-up to COFFEE COLOGNE, filmed the results and submitted them. A jury of experts chose the winners whose videotaped performances can now be viewed at domotechnica in Cologne. The following can be seen:
Alexander Benkstein, the top winner, can look forward to an exciting one-week trip for two to Costa Rica, including a tour of a coffee plantation. Second and third place winners Mirko Paradiso and Lukas Kolbe will be treated to a full-day professional espresso seminar by Germany’s Latte Art Master in 2006, Christopher Rapp.
